Biographie
Janice Hennessey has nearly 20 years of experience in commercial real estate, specializing in representing life science, R&D, clean-tech, medical, dental, office, preschool, and restaurant companies, as well as life science, hotel, and residential developers. Over the course of her two-decade career, Janice has successfully represented landlords, tenants, developers, and investors throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento, while also supporting clients in key markets such as Southern California, Seattle, New York, Boston, Chicago, and Nevada. Her expertise includes rezoning and repurposing properties in competitive markets, rehabilitation advisory, residential and hotel development, and navigating zoning regulations for laboratory, medical, dental, residential, hotel, and preschool uses. Janice’s track record includes property sales and leases exceeding $357 million, with leasing, sales, and consulting assignments totaling over 6 million square feet. A notable accomplishment was her collaboration on Alexandria Real Estate Equities' 2.7 million-square-foot sustainable life science project in the heart of San Francisco’s R&D hub, Mission Bay—resulting in successful leasing and land disposition for this landmark development. Her expertise is further shaped by former participation in Life Science and Clean-tech Practice Groups, contributions to BayBio’s Gene Acres and Real Estate Survey Committee, and involvement with organizations such as the San Francisco Bay Area Healthcare Club and Venture Capital Taskforce. She has also served in volunteer roles, including as the 2011 National & California Alumni Chair for the Cleantech Open.
