Biographie
Bharat Tribhvohandas Patel is a visionary entrepreneur and founder of LAP Group, whose career spans civil engineering, textile manufacturing, hospitality, real estate, and retail. Beginning as a general contractor in India in the early 1980s, Bharat transitioned into the textile industry, where he built and expanded multiple dyeing and embroidery units across Surat.
In 1999, he moved to the United States to pursue better opportunities for his family, quickly establishing a foothold in the franchise and hospitality sectors. His first U.S. hotel project, Sleep Inn & Suites in Virginia, marked the start of LAP Group in 2000. Since then, Bharat has developed and managed properties under leading brands such as Hilton, Marriott, and Intercontinental across Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida.
He also founded Gujarat Polyfilms Private Limited in India, a major manufacturer of N6 Nylon Chips, maintaining strong business ties across continents. His portfolio includes successful ventures in restaurants and retail, including Slim Chicken, Del Taco, Subway, and Taco Bell.
