À propos du quartier Campbell
Campbell est une petite banlieue de la Silicon Valley, située au sud-ouest du centre-ville de San Jose. La State Route 17 traverse directement la zone, avec un accès supplémentaire depuis l'Interstate 280 et la State Route 85, ce qui permet aux travailleurs de la zone de se rendre facilement sur leur lieu de travail. En outre, le quartier est desservi par trois stations de métro léger, ce qui offre d'autres options aux employés qui font la navette entre leur domicile et leur lieu de travail depuis l'agglomération de South Bay. Les commerces de détail sont nombreux, y compris dans le centre-ville de Campbell, situé à proximité des immeubles de bureaux de la zone.
Les entreprises sont attirées par les nombreux équipements communautaires de la région et par sa situation privilégiée au cœur de la Silicon Valley. Le centre-ville animé, centré sur Campbell Avenue et Railway Avenue, accueille de nombreux magasins, bars et restaurants. L'attraction commerciale la plus notable du quartier est sans doute le grand centre commercial en plein air The Pruneyard, qui abrite plusieurs boutiques, détaillants et restaurants populaires. Preuve de l'attractivité croissante de la zone, un projet spéculatif de bureaux, Creekside @ 17, a été loué par 8x8 Inc. pour y installer son nouveau siège social, l'entreprise technologique devenant ainsi le plus gros locataire de Campbell. Avec seulement une poignée d'immeubles de bureaux de grande taille dans la ville, il peut être difficile de trouver des espaces importants. Les loyers demandés sont inférieurs à la moyenne de la Silicon Valley, la zone offrant des espaces relativement abordables par rapport à d'autres quartiers de la South Bay.
